Biography
By the time of the proclamation of HRV in 1919 in Hungary, the Politzer was already actively involved in revolutionary activities. At seventeen, he was forced into exile when the workers' state was crushed by the white terror of the dictatorship of Admiral Miklos Horthy .
After meeting with Freud and Sandor Ferenczi in Vienna , the Politzer settled in Paris in 1921 . In 1924 , together with Henri Lefebvre , Paul Nisan , Norbert Guterman and others, created a discussion philosophical circle ( Fr. Philosophies ). For five years, he read almost all the major scientific works from the philosophical collection. Joined the FKP between 1929 and 1931 .
In early 1930 , the PCF established the Workers' University of Paris ( fr. L'Université Ouvrière de Paris ), which lasted until the German occupation in 1939. During his stay at the university, the Politzer taught a course in dialectical materialism .
With the beginning of the occupation, Politzer joined the left wing of the Resistance , published underground magazines in which he revealed Marxist theory and ridiculed Nazism . He was arrested and tortured. May 23, 1942 was shot at Fort Mont Valerien , located 192 km from Paris .
His wife, Mai Politzer , was also arrested and died at Auschwitz in 1943. [1]
