Neshevo is a village in the Smolensk region of Russia , in the Elninsky district . The population is 23 inhabitants 2007 [1] . It is located in the southeastern part of the region, 28 km south of the city of Yelnya , off the P137 Safonovo - Roslavl highway. It is part of the Novospassky rural settlement. The southernmost settlement of the area.

History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was the site of fierce fighting and was occupied by Hitler troops in July 1941 , liberated during the Yelninsky-Dorogobuzh operation in 1943 ). [2]
