History
On the map of Novgorod governorship of 1792 by A.M. Wilbrecht , the village of Myshkino adjacent to Zhuravlyovo is mentioned [2] .
ZHURAVLEVO - a village, according to the Xth revision of 1857 belongs to:
Schmidt: number of households - 3, residents in them: 12 m. n., a total of 19 people .;
Kolyubakin and Belavina: the number of farms - 2, in them inhabitants: 17 m. n., a total of 34 people .;ZHURAVLEVO - village, according to the Zemstvo census of 1895:
Peasants former Schmidt: number of households - 7, residents: 24 m. n., a total of 41 people .;
Peasants former Kolyubakin and Belavina: the number of households - 20, in them residents: 65 m. n., a total of 118 people .; [3]
In the late XIX - early XX centuries, the village administratively belonged to the Sominsk volost of the 1st zemsky district of the 3rd camp of the Ustyuzhensky district of the Novgorod province .
ZHURAVLEVO - a village at wells, the number of yards - 32, the number of houses - 50, the number of inhabitants: 124 m., 120 railways. P.;
There was a monastery near the village, a part of the stone fence was preserved, a bell was found, now hanging in the Suglitsky church. (1910 year) [4]

According to the military topographic map of the Novgorod province of the 1917 edition, the village was called Zhuravleva and consisted of 3 peasant households [5] .
From 1917 to 1918, the village was part of the Tarantaevsky volost of the Tikhvin district of the Novgorod province.
Since 1918, as part of the Cherepovets province .
Since 1924, as part of the Sominsk volost of Ustyuzhensky district.
Since 1927, as part of the Zhuravlev village council of the Efimov district [6] .
According to 1933, the village of Zhuravlevo was the administrative center of the Zhuravlev village council of the Efimovsky district, which included 8 settlements: the villages of Deryagino, Dubrova, Zhuravlev , Zapolye, Zekhovo, Kamen, Myshkino, Notinino, with a total population of 958 people [7] .
According to 1936, the Zhuravlevsky village council included 9 settlements, 205 farms and 6 collective farms [8] .
In 1940, the population of the village was 298 people.
Since 1965, as part of the Boksitogorsky district. In 1965, the population of the village was 159 people [6] .
According to 1966, the village of Zhuravlevo was also part of the Zhuravlev village council, the administrative center of the village council was the village of Netinino [9] .
According to 1973, the village was the administrative center of the Zhuravlev village council [10] .
According to 1990 data, 207 people lived in the village of Zhuravlevo . The village was the administrative center of the Zhuravlevsky village council, which included 7 settlements: the villages of Berezhok, Zhuravlyovo , Zapolye, Myza, Myshkino, Tushemlya, Utlikovo, with a total population of 404 people [11] .
In 1997, 175 people lived in the village of Zhuravlyovo, Zhuravlevsky volost, in 2002 - 165 people (Russians - 96%), the village was the administrative center of the volost [12] [13] .
In 2007, 158 people lived in the village of Zhuravlyovo Klimovsky SP , in 2010 - 126 [14] [15] .

The village is located in the central part of the district on the highway 41K-030 ( Zabelino - Krasnaya Rechka ), adjacent to the village of Myshkino.
The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 22 km [14] .
The distance to the district center is 80 km [11] .
The distance to the nearest railway station Efimovskaya is 22 km [9] .
The village is located on the right bank of the Suglinka River.
