Stephen P. Synnott (American Stephen P. Synnott ) is an American astronomer and a scientist from the Voyager program at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory ( NASA ), an expert in satellite optical navigation techniques. Discovered several satellites: at Jupiter - Metis and Thebes ; Uranus has Pak and Cressida ; Neptune - Larissa (again) and Proteus .

In his honor, the small planet (6154) Steveennot [1], was discovered by Henry E. Holt in 1990.
