The CD was recorded with the participation of vocalist Joe Lynn Turner , who came to the place of Ian Gillan at the suggestion of Richie Blackmore .
The name, as Roger Glover explained, was given to the disc from two 24-track tape recorders used for recording. One of them was called “Master” (main or master), and the other - “Slave” (slave). The album went on sale on November 5, 1990 and caused controversial feedback. Blackmore was very pleased with the record, but music critics felt that it was more like the Rainbow album.
The Fortuneteller song on the vinyl edition was located between Fire in the basement and Truth Hurts.
In addition to the compositions listed below, this composition has released two more. The first is “Slow Down Sister” (released on the single “Love Conquers All”); the second is “Fire, Ice and Dynamite”, composed for an action movie with the same name. John Lord did not participate in the recording of this song; Roger Glover performed the keyboard part.
