Armavir is a military airfield in the Krasnodar Territory , located on the southern outskirts of the city of Armavir . 713 air training regiment [1] , which is part of the 783 training center, is based at the airport. The regiment instructors train fighter pilots on the Yak-130 L-39 and MiG-29 aircraft .

Accidents and disasters
- September 14, 2006 in the Armavir area, during a planned training flight, the L-39 training aircraft crashed. The cadet ejected, the instructor pilot Dmitry Khrebtov died .
- On February 1, 2008, the L-39 plane crashed. During the flight mission, the engine stopped. After two unsuccessful launch attempts, the pilot took the plane to a safe area and ejected at a set altitude of 12:25. Major A. Serov, a second-class pilot, safely ejected. [3] [4]
- On September 4, 2014, in the Armavir area, during the training flight during the approach approach at the MiG-31 aircraft, the right landing gear did not go out at 7:38 a.m. Meanwhile, both pilots managed to survive: they catapulted after they took the car to a safe area, and, according to the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense Igor Konashenkov, the pilots were quickly found and delivered by helicopter to the base airfield.
