Location
The city is located 76 km south-west of the provincial capital of the city of Rankagua and 35 km west of the provincial capital of the city of San Fernando .
The commune borders:

- in the east - with the commune of San Vicente de Tagua
- in the south - with the commune of Santa Cruz
- in the northwest - with the commune of Peralillo
