History
Ayaguz airfield of the 2nd class, located 6 kilometers from the city of Ayagoz . It has a concrete runway with dimensions of 2500 by 45 meters; according to its design characteristics it is capable of receiving Tu-134 , Tu-154 , An-12 , Yak-42 and lighter aircraft (as well as helicopters of all types).
From December 1983 to October 22, 1989, the 737th Air Defense Fighter Regiment on MiG-23MLD airplanes was also based at the aerodrome. The regiment was relocated from the Kambala airfield. In October 1989, the regiment relocated to the airport Chervonoglinskoe ( Artsyz ) [1] .
Currently operated for the needs of military aviation. In 2008, the passenger traffic of Semeyavia JSC was discontinued due to the inexpediency of passenger traffic by air, as the existing auto and railway routes fully compensate for the needs of the population.
Near the Ayaguz airfield there is a reference navigation point of the Kazaeronavigation republican state enterprise. Now, when its reconstruction is completed, here, at the intersection of several international air routes, the most modern means of radar surveillance, navigation and communication are working. In total, Kazakhstan has 72 air corridors, and only one, Chinese, gives a quarter of the revenue of domestic navigators: the entire Europe-Southeast Asia air transit goes along this route. According to the Director General of the RSA “Kazaeronavigation” Sergey Kulnazarov, the new building of the Ayagoz navigation center is equipped with the most advanced radar, allowing you to “look” around for 400 kilometers. By the way, the Chinese air navigation services do not have such equipment on their sites. A high-frequency radio beacon was installed near the building of the point, satisfying the requests of domestic and foreign airlines. A whole aviation communications complex has been created with the latest digital telecommunications hub, which transmits information between aircraft crews and control centers in Astana, Almaty and Semey. In addition, an antenna is installed on a specially constructed tower 80 meters high, which ensures high quality radio communications to the state border and beyond. In the event of a power failure, power will be provided by two diesel generators.
