Berthold von Tannenrode

Berthold von Tannenrode - Landmaster of the Teutonic Order in Germany ( 1243 - 1245 ) [1] .

On January 13, 1227 , he met with the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order Hermann von Salz , from whom he was commissioned to accompany the German King Henry VII on his way to Aachen [2] . In 1236 - 1238 he was in the position of Landfogt in Alsace [3] . During his service, the Order was practically all the time in Germany at the courts of the German kings or emperors, fulfilling the instructions of the Grand Master.
