His father, David Verdiger, was a synagogue cantor born in Krakow . Mordechai Ben David mixes traditional Hasidic tunes with contemporary pop music . The son, Idle Verdiger, also performs on the Jewish music scene, although he did not reach the heights of popularity that his father had achieved. The brother is a Yiddish teacher, Chaim Verdiger, the author of study guides for learning this language.
He lives in Seagate , in Brooklyn . Follower of Rybnitsky Rebbe Chaim-Zanvl Abramovich .
