History

The station was opened on September 7, 2008 on the existing site between the Park Pobedy and Kuntsevskaya stations. It became the 177th station of the Moscow Metro.

Feature

Slavyansky Boulevard is a single-vault shallow-laying station constructed of monolithic reinforced concrete, with a vault height of 8.5 meters from the platform level and a width of about 20 meters. At the station there is one island platform 162 meters long and 10 meters wide [1] . Picket PK103 + 33.

The station has two underground vestibules (western and eastern). The eastern lobby is connected to the platform by a granite staircase (6 meters wide), the western - by an oblique passage with three ribbons of escalators. Exit to the surface from the lobby is through underground passages, above the entrances to which translucent pavilions are installed. There are two elevators for lowering and raising wheelchairs .

Design

The station is decorated with Art Nouveau metal elements inspired by the entrances of Hector Guimard of the Paris Metro . Forged metal ornaments from leaves and branches are placed in large recesses of the arch (by I. Lubennikov ). The vault is coffered ; it covers the station platform and the eastern lobby. Lamps are installed on the track walls so that the entire arch of the station is illuminated.

There are three rook-shaped benches at the station, over which the name of the station is affixed in ornate type.

Metal "trees" are installed on the platform to give the station a resemblance to a real boulevard. On the tops of the “trees” lanterns are placed.

The track walls are faced with green Verde Guatemala marble (stainless steel profile at the end). The floor is covered with black coarse-grained granite "Verde Bahia", at the edges of the platform it has a heat-treated surface.

Slavyansky Boulevard, along with the Krasnogvardeiskaya , Konkovo , Vorobyovy Gory , Krylatskoye stations, is the Moscow metro station, the names of which are located in the center of the hall, and not on the track walls.

Design

In the early 1990s, the Metrogiprotrans Institute developed several tracing projects for the Arbat-Pokrovskaya line after the Victory Park station. For the option to extend the line in Solntsevo along Minsk Street and Michurinsky Prospekt, there were no stations serving the Fili-Davydkovo region , and for the route to Solntsevo through Matveevskoye , two deep stations were proposed: Minskaya, north of the intersection of Minskaya Street with the Belarusian direction of the railway , and "Davydkovo", located along Davydkovskaya street at its intersection with Slavyanskiy Boulevard [2] . In the project of adjoining the Arbat-Pokrovskaya line to the Filyovskaya line, three options were considered. The first proposed a deep line with one Kastanaevskaya station along the street of the same name east of Minsk Street; in the second, a line of predominantly shallow laying with the Tarutinskaya station on Gerasima Kurina Street east of the same name . According to the third option, the construction of the shallow station “Slavyansky Boulevard” between the boulevard of the same name and Kutuzovsky Prospekt (on the south side of the latter), and the deep station “Minskaya” between the intersections of Minskaya Street with Smolenskaya Railway and Kutuzovsky Prospect was planned. At the same time, it was proposed that only the Minskaya side tunnels be included in the launch site, and the construction of the station itself should be carried over to the future and linked to the organization of a transfer railway platform [3] .

Construction work on the original site for the station, located at Slavyansky Boulevard, ow. 3, began in the mid-1990s, but subsequently were frozen for a long time, and the extension of the Arbat-Pokrovskaya line switched to the active phase in the mid-2000s. In November 2004, the Moscow Metro State Unitary Enterprise approved a proposal to change the route of the line with the exception of Slavyansky Boulevard station, as well as a proposal to use the released site to accommodate a multifunctional public center [4] (as a result, Oceania shopping center was built on it ), while for the prospective construction of the station it was supposed to reserve another section [5] . The decisions were motivated by a more efficient use of the urban territory [6] and the acceleration of the trip along the line [5] .

In July 2005, it was announced that the Slavyansky Boulevard station would be located in a new location, between the Smolensk direction of the Moscow Railway and Kutuzovsky Prospekt (on the north side of the latter) [7] , which entailed a partial felling of the apple orchard located there. There was no problem for the station near Minsk Street, and the name was subsequently used for the new Minsk station of the Kalinin-Solntsevskaya line . The final straightening of the line reduced its length by 900 meters and reduced the cost of construction by $ 45 million [8] [9] .

For access to the population of the areas of Fili-Davydkovo and Matveevskoe , the bus traffic pattern was changed, including new routes [10] . For the convenience of residents of Gerasim Kurin, Tarutinskaya and Kastanaevskaya streets, one of the entrances to the station was built into an existing underground passage under the Smolensk direction of the Moscow Railway, connecting these areas with Kutuzovsky Prospekt and Slavyanskiy Boulevard.

Construction

The construction of the station began in September 2006 on the section between Kutuzovsky Prospekt and the Belarusian direction of the Moscow Railway .

In January 2008 , the section of the Arbat-Pokrovskaya line “ Victory Park ” - “ Kuntsevskaya ” was opened, which now houses the station. But at that moment the station itself was not yet completed, and trains passed it by - until the official opening of another 8 months, it was a “ ghost station ”. Initially, they promised to open it back in April 2008, but the work dragged on, and the station became available only on City Day in early September.

On August 20, the temporary shields separating the station from the tracks were removed, and passengers of passing trains could already see the station.

The project of the station provided for the placement of large black decorative plates at the station, which were already installed when D.V. Gaev , who visited the station under construction, ordered them to be removed [11] .

The lobby of the station is equipped with a Snegosbros pulse system [12] .

The station opened on September 7, 2008 , Dmitry Medvedev and Yuri Luzhkov participated in the ceremony. With the opening of Slavic Boulevard in the Moscow Metro, there were 177 stations.
