Zarzir (officially “Beit Zarzir”) ( Arabic. زرزير , Hebrew זרזיר ) is an Arab village in the northern district of Israel . Has the status of a local council since 1996 .

The name of the village comes from starlings ( Arabic: زرزير - Zarzir ) living in the area.

According to the Central Bureau of Statistics of Israel , the population at the beginning of 2018 was 7,792 people [1] .
