Biography

He graduated from the Institute of Oriental Languages at Moscow State University named after Lomonosov (1970) and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR (1984). He speaks French , Italian , Bamana and English .

In the diplomatic service since 1970 .

He worked in various positions in the central apparatus of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR and in the embassies of the USSR in Mali , Belgium and Italy .

  • 1989 - 1990 - Advisor and Envoy of the Embassy of the USSR in Italy and, in combination, Consul General of the USSR in San Marino .
  • 1990 - 1991 - Deputy Head of the 1st European Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR.
  • 1991 - 1994 - Head of the Personnel Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia .
  • 1994 - 1997 - Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Italy and San Marino in combination [1] [2] .
  • 1997 - 2002 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Romania [3] [4] .
  • July 2002 - September 2004 - Director of the Department of Linguistic Support, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
  • September 2004 - March 2006 - Co-Chair of the Joint Control Commission for the Settlement of the Georgian-Ossetian Conflict (JCC) from Russia, Ambassador on Special Assignments.
  • March – May 2006 - head of a group of Russian experts who dealt with issues of the trade blockade of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldavian Republic by Ukraine and Moldova, which began on March 3.
