The Inglings are a dynasty of Scandinavian kungs , to which the first historical rulers of Sweden and Norway belonged. In the Ingle Saga , Snorri Sturluson describes them as descendants of Van Freyr and gives detailed pedigrees. They are also mentioned in the ancient Anglo-Saxon epic, Beowulf . The capital of the 1st dynasty of the Swedish Ingles (which are semi-legendary) was Old Uppsala . In historical time, konungs from the Ingling house ruled in Sweden (first half of the 9th century - 1060 ) and Norway (first half of the 9th century - 1319 ). “Sagas about Icelanders” tell about a number of dynasty representatives who settled in Iceland and became part of the local aristocracy (“ people from Salmon Valley ” and others).
Konungi Halvdan the Black and his son Harald the Fair-haired became the founders of the Khorfager family, the ruling dynasty of Norway.
