Geography
Zolotkovo village is located in the northern part of the Valdai Upland , 1.2 km south of the Kresttsy - Okulovka - Borovichi highway, 5.5 km north-east of the village of Ozerki , 14 km east of the town of Okulovka .
History
Before the Novgorod Republic was annexed to Moscow Russia, the village of Zolotkovo was in the possession of Fedka and Senka Manuilovs, after which it was given to Moscow boyar Fedka Neklyud, the son of Ivan Podushkin.
Mentioned in the Treasure Book of the Tree Pyatina 1495-1496 gg. The village of Zolotkovo belonged to the Shegri Pogost.
At the end of the 15th century, two well-to-do peasant families lived in Zolotkovo: Sidorik Potapova and Fedotko Timokhin. They sowed bread and kept a lot of livestock. They paid the dues to the Uncledged, the steward and the money (2 hryvnias and 6 money), rye, oats, wheat, barley, flax, sheepskins, rams and chickens. In the curfy book it is noted that their income more than doubled compared to the old census.
In 1773–1927 the village of Zolotkovo was located in the Borovichsky district of the Novgorod province . From the beginning of the 19th century until 1924, it belonged to the Shegri volost of Borovichi district. [3]

In 1879 in the village of Zolotkovo there were 21 peasant farms, 48 buildings, of which 30 are residential. There was a chapel. According to family lists in the village, there were 38 men and 38 women. Children under 18 were 25 people. The land belonging to the rural community after the abolition of serfdom, was 219 acres and 1,702 planted comfortable and 3 acres of 1930 unclean. There was no land purchased. There were 13 horses in the village, 24 cattle, 15 small cattle.
At the beginning of the 20th century, three farms were separated from the rural community in Zolotkov: Ignatiy Alekseeva, Anisima Ivanov and Sergey Klementyev, each receiving 2.9 acres of their own land.
In 1911, there were 16 households and 25 houses with a population of 101 people (53 men and 48 women) in the village of Zolotkovo. There was a chapel. Farming remained the main occupation of the population, and forest earnings as a side occupation.
In the 1980s, 20 people lived in the village of Zolotkovo.
Zolotkovo village was part of Ozerkovsky rural settlement .
In 2010 she became a member of the Uglovsky urban settlement .
Legends
According to the stories of old-timers in the village there is a Lithuanian burial allegedly the beginning of the XVII century . The terrain is still called the "Burial ground". In ancient times, a church was under the hill of an overgrown lake. In the late 1940s, they dug a hole under a vegetable store. Human skulls, bones and corroded metal elements were found. . Near this place grew several huge firs and pines, but somewhere in the mid-1950s they fell from old age. The cemetery, the existence of which was not known to archaeologists, probably belongs to the pre-Christian era.
