Richard Dean Anderson Star Trek: SG-1
From 1997 to 2005, Anderson played the lead role of Colonel / General Jack O'Neill in the Stargate: SG-1 series, based on the Stargate movie with Kurt Russell and James Spader in the lead roles.
In the sixth season, Anderson asked to reduce the participation of his hero in the script, because he decided to devote himself to raising his daughter. His hero was gradually taken out of the script, and by the end of the eighth season he was no longer a member of the permanent cast, preferring to be a guest star. His character appears in the two series of the tenth season of Stargate: SG-1 and in three episodes of the third season of Stargate: Atlantis .
On September 14, 2004 , during a dinner on the occasion of the 57th anniversary of the US Air Force in Washington , the actor was presented with an award by the Air Force Association for his contribution to the creation of a positive image of the US Air Force as the leading actor and executive producer of the TV series Stargate SG- 1 ”. Richard Dean Anderson in The Simpsons Animated Series
Anderson has always been a big fan of the animated television series The Simpsons , which he constantly mentioned during the filming of the Stargate: SG-1 TV series and in 2005 he was invited to participate in the show as a guest.
He voiced himself in the series “ Kiss Kiss, Bang Bangalore ” (season 17, series 17, show date - April 9, 2006 ), in which Richard was abducted by Patty and Selma Bouvier . Anderson's hero, MacGyver, has long been the object of worship for the main character's sisters, Marge Simpson : Selma even wanted to terminate the engagement with SideShow Bob when he expressed his negative attitude towards MacGyver, and in the “ A Star is Burns ” series the sisters hung up critic Jay Sherman upside down for what he called their idol a homosexual . The reason for the abduction was the statement of the actor that he starred in "MacGyvera" only for the sake of money. But after Anderson liked to transform into his hero, he was so fed up with Patty and Selma that they got rid of him with cunning.
Dan Castellaneta , the actor who voiced Homer Simpson and many other characters, was a guest star in the SG-1 Stargate series (Citizen Joe series) and, describing his supernatural ability to see events in Jack O'Neill's life, mentions O'Neill's dedication The Simpsons.
Other Roles

In 2006, for a short time, Anderson returned to the role of Angus MacGyver, starring in MasterCard advertising during the Super Cup . The plot of the ad is inspired by the “MacGyver's formula,” and at the same time is a parody of the series, offering incredible solutions to the problems faced by the hero Anderson (in one of the frames he cuts a thick rope with a cardboard air freshener with a coniferous smell). The official ad site for MasterCard calls this video "The Return of MacGyver".
Personal life
Anderson was never married. He has a daughter Wylie Quinn Annarose ( born Wylie Quinn Annarose ), born August 2, 1998 his former companion, April Prose. His friends at various times were Teri Hatcher , Sela Ward , Lara Flynn Boyle and the famous East German figure skater Katharina Witt .
