The Rastatt Peace Treaty - the peace treaty signed on March 7, 1714 , was, in fact, part of the Utrecht peace that ended the War of the Spanish Succession (1701-1714), signed between France and Austria. During the years 1713-1714, this treaty was prepared by the Marshal of France, Claude Louis Hector de Villars and the Austrian Prince Eugene of Savoy . In particular, this treaty ended the feud between King Louis XIV and Holy Roman Emperor Charles VI , which continued after the conflict was resolved in other respects.
