District History

The history of the district begins with the Oryol-Vitebsk railway . The Minister of Railways, Lieutenant General Melnikov, the next year after inspecting the constructed road ( November 15–18, 1868 ) informed the Minister of Finance that “upon examination by special technical commissions in September-November of the last year of the Zemsky Oryol-Vitebsk railway, it was possible to open a permanent traffic on the section from Vitebsk to Roslavl on October 10 and on the section from Roslavl to Bryansk and from Bryansk to Orel on November 24th . ” So the day of the foundation of the district is considered November 24, 1868. With the road and the construction of the station then the first settlers began to settle in the station area. The village received the name of the Railway Station .

However, the first resident of the current Volodarsky district should be considered a retired soldier of Mogilevtsev, who, in order not to pay city taxes, long before the construction of the railway, in 1844 , built a house and developed a plot of land far from the city - on the shores of Lake Satnoe. After the Bryansk City Duma found out about this, these lands seemed promising to her, and she found it profitable to allocate new land plots there.

July 7, 1896 in the station station took place laying the Sukhoi Plant of the military department.

In 1887, the railway station Bryansk-Polessky (now Bryansk-Repair) was opened east of the Railway Station Sloboda, around which the construction of the so-called Polessky village began.

At the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, not far from the Raditsky factory and the railway platform (now Maltsevskaya ), the villages of Maltsevskaya Sloboda (belonging to the village of Raditsa-Chugunnaya) and New Construction were formed.

In the first years of Soviet power, the Railway Station settlement was renamed the Volodarsky settlement, the Polessky settlement - the Tolstovsky settlement (the settlement named after Tolstoy), the New Construction - the settlement named after them. Vorovskogo, and Maltsovskaya settlement - in the village of them. Uritsky. However, all these settlements remained independent.

In April 1921, by a decree of the Presidium of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee, the Volodarsky and Tolstovsky villages were annexed to Bryansk with the formation in Bryansk of the corresponding district councils (later merged into the Volodarsky-Tolstovsky district council). However, from the 1930s, the Volodarsko-Tolstovsky District Council was abolished.

During the occupation of the city during the Great Patriotic War, the Volodarsky district (village) was called " Bryansk-Vostochny " [3] .

In 1925, the working village Uritsky was formed, which included the villages named after Uritsky and Thieves. On July 6, 1950, the village of Uritsky was annexed to the city of Bryansk (now part of the Volodarsky district).

On June 22, 1951 in Bryansk, the now existing urban areas were finally formed: Volodarsky, Sovetsky and Fokinsky .
