The Saki layer (Є 3 s) is the layer of the upper part of the Cambrian system in the General Stratigraphic Scale of Russia, second from the bottom [1] . The lower boundary corresponds to the lower boundary of the Paibian stage of the International Stratigraphic Scale [2] (age about 497 Ma) [3] . It is named after the Saks - Asian Scythians, who in ancient times inhabited a significant part of Kazakhstan [2] . It is characterized by the appearance of new genera and species of trilobites .
