EasyJet Airline Company Limited , better known as easyJet.com (pronounced izi-jet ) is a British low-cost airline founded in 1995 . Based at Luton Airport. At present, the company is one of the largest low-cost airlines in Europe, operating domestic and international flights to more than 300 destinations in more than 30 countries [3] [4] . In 2012, easyJet transported more than 50 million passengers [5] . It is part of the holding EasyGroup [6] .

Company History
EasyJet was founded in March 1995 by businessman Sir Stelios Haji-Yoann [7] . The airline performed its first flights on two Boeing 737-200 aircraft leased from Luton Airport (London) to Glasgow and Edinburgh , having transported 30,000 passengers in the first year [8] . In 1996, the airline has its first private aircraft, and two years later, in 1998, EasyJet orders already 15 new Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft [7] . In the same year, the easyJet.com website was launched, which allows you to make online purchase of tickets, through which over 10 million tickets were sold over 10 years [7] .
In March 2013, the company's financial director, Chris Kennedy, noted that easyJet was approaching the FTSE 100 and announced the launch of its 100 route from Gatwick Airport , which was a flight to Domodedovo ( Moscow ) [9] .
From March 21, 2016, the airline ceased to operate flights on the route London - Moscow - London. The decision to cancel flights was made due to a significant drop in demand in this area in recent months. Another reason was the difficult situation in the Russian economy and the tightening of the visa regime, the company noted. "EasyJet will monitor the situation for possible resumption of flights on the route," - stated in the statement of the carrier.

As of April 2014, the airline has more than 134 destinations in Europe, western Asia and northern Africa [10] .
From March 18, 2013 EasyJet to March 21, 2016 operated flights from Domodedovo Airport ( Moscow ) to the UK in two directions: London - Gatwick and Manchester [11] .
Code Sharing
EasyJet had a code-sharing agreement with the Russian airline Transaero , under which Transaero received the right to sell a certain number of seats on EasyJet Moscow - London flights [12] [13] . This is the first agreement of this type for EasyJet.
