Cock Sparrer (originally Cock Sparrow ) is a British punk band that was formed in 1972 and played for a while rough pub-rock (in the spirit of Dr. Feelgood ) [1] , but soon found itself in the ranks of Streetpunk / Oi! -motion. It is generally accepted that the name of the group is related to cockfights, but in reality Cock Sparrow is related to the intimate sphere [2] . Cock Sparrer (due to label issues releasing their first Shock Troops album only five years after the release of their debut single, "Running Riot"), did not have commercial success and were ignored by the press (which suspected them of sympathy for the national front ), but had authority in punk community, as evidenced by several cover versions made for their songs.
