Channel One and producer Natalya Nikonova positioned this program as talk shows , although the project could also be called author’s [5] .
Transmission Structure
The name is a merger of the name of the host of the transfer of Alexander Gordon with the hero of the novel by Cervantes - Don Quixote , who, as you know, also fought with windmills . The purpose of the program: the fight against “windmills” - annoying mirages and images in the media [6] , books and in the surrounding reality.

The television premiere took place in the midst of the "dead season" [11] . However, Channel One has repeatedly relied on this time (in 2007, the Fashionable Sentence started at the same time). The guest of the first program was the author of the infamous novels “ Duhless. The Story of a Fake Man "and" The Chicks. A Tale of Fake Love ”by Sergey Minaev [12] . Among the guests of the program were entrepreneurs ( Sergey Mavrodi [13] ), politicians ( Vladimir Zhirinovsky ), musicians ( Mikhail Shufutinsky , Mikhail Turetsky ), comedians ( Mikhail Zadornov , residents of Comedy Club ) and other famous people.
In 2009, the Gordon Quixote program underwent major changes, the most important of which were the “windmills” that Alexander Gordon fights against, not just individuals, their words and deeds “falling under the gun”, but whole phenomena [14] .

Not aired
In December 2008, a program dedicated to the film director Yuri Grymov and his film “ Aliens ” was scheduled to take place [18] . On the side of Grymov were the leading actor Viktor Bychkov , actors Tatyana Dogileva and Lyudmila Maksakova , singer Alexander Rosenbaum and screenwriter Arif Aliyev [19] . The opposite point of view was expressed by film critic Viktor Matizen [18] , journalists Kim Belov and Bozena Rynska , poet Vlad Vasyukhin and others. Subsequently, the issue never came out [20] .
Rewards
The broadcast of the Gordon Quixote program on the Union of Russian Filmmakers in September 2010 won the TEFI 2010 Prize [21] [22] .
