The daughter of Francis Ford Coppola and Eleanor Jesse Coppola (née Neil) [1] . Nicolas Cage 's cousin.

Sofia Coppola as a child began to act in films of her father. The most famous role from this period is the role of the child in the baptismal scene in The Godfather .

"Anna" ( 1987 ) - the first role of Sofia, not related to the work of his father. However, the most famous acting work of Sofia Coppola is the role of Mary Corleone in the third part of The Godfather ( 1990 ), where she replaced Winona Ryder , who could not play due to illness. In 2014, she became a member of the jury of the 67th Cannes Film Festival .

In 2017, she shot a remake of Don Siegel ’s film “Deceived” . In the Russian box office, the film was called "Fatal Temptation . " Among the invited stars of the film are Colin Farrell , Kirsten Dunst , Una Lawrence and El Fanning . A wounded northerner soldier is in the enemy’s boarding school for girls during the US Civil War . Confederate girls save him.
