Content
History
The company was founded under the name Ilim Pulp Enterprise CJSC in 1992 . The co-founders of Finzell CJSC, which established the Ilim Pulp Enterprise CJSC company, in addition to Zakhar Davidovich Smushkin and the Zingarevich brothers included D. A. Medvedev , the third President of the Russian Federation . At the same time, Medvedev owned 50% in Finzell CJSC, and 20% in Ilim Pulp Enterprise. [one]
At the end of October 2006, it was announced that an agreement was signed that 50% of Ilim Holding, registered in Switzerland , which owned more than 75% plus 1 share of Ilim Pulp paper and pulp and paper assets, would be sold to the international timber company International Paper . At the same time, the timber processing assets of Ilim Pulp were not included in the transaction. The owner of Ilim is the Swiss company Ilim Holding, whose equal shares are owned, on the one hand, by American International Paper and, on the other, by Russian shareholders (including Z.D. Ilim’s enterprises produce 75% of all Russian market pulp , 20% of cardboard and 10% of all Russian paper.
In 2007, Ilim’s enterprises produced 1.6 million tons of market pulp, 755,700 tons of cardboard and 258,800 tons of paper. The volume of own timber harvesting for this period amounted to 7.1 million m³. [7]
The total number of staff is about 17 thousand people. The group’s turnover in 2007 amounted to 19 billion rubles, net profit - 3 billion rubles. [7] (according to RAS, taking into account the reorganization of the company from July 1, 2007).
