Dirty Pretty Things is a British rock band led by The Libertines' former frontman Carl Barat . The group included bassist Didz Hammond, guitarist Anthony Rosomando and former Barat colleague The Libertines drummer Gary Powell. Interestingly, Karl turned his drenched voice into his dignity.

The album Waterloo to anywhere [1] reached the 3rd place in the British charts, the second album, “Romance at short Notice”, reached just the 35th place.
On June 12, 2008, the group performed at the Moscow club B1.
On December 20, 2008, the group gave their last concert and announced the termination of their activities.

“It was a great three years that we would love to live again, but it is time to do new things,” Barat said in a special statement for New Musical Express. At the same time, he emphasized that he did not intend to reunite with his former partner Pete Doherty of The Libertines .
Waterloo to anywhere debut album
The band's debut CD was recorded in a California studio under the supervision of producer Dave Sardi, who previously worked with Oasis and Jet. According to Karl Barat, in two weeks of studio sessions, the musicians managed to bring to mind as many as seven tracks of the upcoming album.
