Hollokyo is located 90 kilometers north of Budapest and 80 kilometers northwest of Eger . The village lies in a valley in the middle of the low mountains Cherhat. All of Hollokyo is an ethnographic museum, however, unlike other similar museums in Holloko, normal everyday life does not stop. Residents of the village carefully preserve the lifestyle and folk traditions of past centuries. Most of the buildings in the village are mud houses with carved wooden verandas. In the village, folk crafts are preserved - traditional embroidery, pottery, wood carving.
