Football career

Manchester United

Simpson left Manchester United Football Academy and by 2005 made his way to the club’s reserve staff. In early January 2006, Daniel, along with three other young United football players, transferred on loan to Antwerp , the club of the second division of the championship of Belgium .

Simpson debuted for Manchester United's main squad on July 18, 2006, in a match against the South African Kaiser Chiefs team. United won the match 1-0. Sir Alex Ferguson commented on the performance of the young defender: “ By his speech you can’t say that this was his first match for Manchester United. ” The first half of the 2006/07 season, Simpson rented again for Antwerp and returned to Old Trafford in January 2007. However, he was soon again leased to Sunderland , where he joined his teammate Johnny Evans .

In August 2007, Simpson signed a new contract with Manchester United until 2010. On September 26, 2007, he took part in the League Cup match against Coventry City , which Manchester United lost 2-0. On October 6, Simpson made his Premier League debut in a match against Wigan at Old Trafford , replacing injured John O'Shea already in the 30th minute. He made an assist on Wayne Rooney , who scored the fourth match in this meeting (United won 4-0) [2] . Simpson made his debut in the Champions League on October 23, 2007, when Danny replaced the match against Dynamo Kyiv . On November 7, in a return match with Dynamo Kyiv, Simpson began the match at the base. Manchester United won the match 4-0.

On March 21, 2008, Simpson moved to Ipswich Town on loan until the end of the season. Danny spent the 2008/09 season on loan at the Blackburn Rovers Club.

Newcastle United

In 2010, he signed a three-year contract with the English Newcastle . In 2013, the club announced that it was not going to renew the contract with Simpson, expiring on June 30 [3] .

Queens Park Rangers

June 27, 2013 Danny Simpson as a free agent joined the Queens Park Rangers [4] .

Leicester City
