Somali hedgehog [1] ( lat. Atelerix sclateri ) - a mammal of the species of African hedgehogs . Most common in northern Somalia .

Length - 18-25 cm. Average weight - 300-700 g. Coloring of needles with stripes of brown-chocolate and black, the fur on the chest and abdomen is white with brown spots.
This species is a close relative of the white-bellied hedgehog ( Atelerix albiventris ) [2] [3] [4] .
