Shatilova, Anna Nikolaevna

Born in the family of World War II participant Nikolai Solomatin and a cook in an orphanage. Anna's father went missing in October 1941. Sixty years later, he managed to find out his fate - he died when she was 5 years old, a hundred kilometers from Leipzig , in the Zeithein prisoner of war camp , where a memorial without a single name is currently located on a fenced with barbed wire in the forest ^[1] . Mother worked as a cook in the Shikhovsky orphanage, where the children who were left orphans during the war were taken.

Anna spent her childhood in Zvenigorod, where she graduated from high school No. 2 ^[2] with a gold medal . Already from the age of five or six, she read poetry from the stage, such as the lyrical “Birch” and the patriotic “Ballad of Zaslonov and his adjutant Zhenya”. It was then, in the opinion of Anna Nikolaevna, that her voice was naturally staged ^[3] . As a schoolgirl, she participated in amateur performances . After graduation, she studied at the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of the Moscow Regional Pedagogical Institute named after N.K. Krupskaya . In the third year from the institute, she, along with other students, was sent for three weeks to the Altai virgin lands to harvest grain and beets ^[4] , which Anna Nikolaevna recalls:

“... We got to Altai for eight days in“ calves ”, slept shoulder to shoulder on boards in quilted jackets. Even flipped over on command. It now seems to be difficult. Then we felt infinitely happy. They returned without really earning anything. I brought with me a huge loaf, a pot of honey and a medal “For the development of virgin lands” ... ” ^[1]

Having returned from virgin soil, quite by accident, in the hostel of the institute in Malakhovka , Anna read an announcement about the recruitment of announcers on the All-Union Radio of the USSR State Television and Radio Broadcasting , took a chance - and passed the selection: five out of five hundred people were selected, and only three eventually got to the “TV” ^{[5 ]} . The selection was carried out by the legendary announcers of the Soviet era, Olga Sergeyevna Vysotskaya and Yuri Borisovich Levitan , known throughout the country for the Sovinformburo reports and radio news transmitted by them from the fronts during the Great Patriotic War. Subsequently, they became her teachers and mentors in the profession. In addition to Vysotskaya and Levitan, Anna’s teacher was another famous Soviet announcer of the All-Union Radio of the USSR State Television and Radio - Vladimir Borisovich Gertsik ^{[3] [6]} .

Immediately after entering the announcer's courses, Anna transferred to the correspondence department of the philological faculty of the same institute and graduated from it ^{[4] [7]} .

In 1962, Anna Shatilova was received on the Central Television of the USSR , for many years remaining the face of Soviet television. She led issues of the Vremya , Novosti news programs, entertainment programs, among which the Blue Light was very popular, as well as reports from festive processions, demonstrations, and festivals.

In 1963, the young announcer Anna Shatilova was instructed to read out on a live television broadcast an urgent TASS report on the assassination of John F. Kennedy ^[8] .

In 1973, Anna was sent from the USSR State Television and Radio to Japan to conduct Russian language lessons on television at the invitation of a Japanese television company, where she conducted the program “Speak Russian” for a year. During her work in Tokyo, she found her “corporate” style in clothes, which she adheres to this day ^[4] .

Anna Shatilova is non - partisan ^[1] . According to her, she did not join the CPSU just because she was too lazy to learn the Party Charter ^[9] .

She worked on television until 1995 , in 1991-1995 she remained an announcer of the Ostankino State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company .

In 1997 - 2001, together with Alexei Borzunov, she worked on dubbing the announcements of the ORT channel (now Channel One).

Currently, Anna Shatilova continues to work as a television announcer and is a member of Channel One ^[10] . For many years, she has been the leading host of the opening and closing ceremonies of the International Television Forum “Together” in Yalta ^[5] . He leads the program "Not Time" on the radio " Humor FM ". She is invited to host parade ceremonies on Red Square in Moscow, award ceremonies, anniversaries, city days, and many other celebrations. She is a frequent visitor to various television programs and talk shows where her colleagues and former students invite her. Anna Nikolaevna’s colleague Igor Kirillov speaks of her as a temperamental and cheerful person:

“... How she does everything - I wonder. It can hold two events in one evening, appear on one channel and then on another. She is still a television artist. Truly popular ” ^[9] .

On November 26, 2013, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev congratulated the legendary announcer Anna Shatilova on her 75th birthday:

... You, bright and charming, are loved by millions of viewers and deeply respected by colleagues. Your whole life is somehow connected with television, where you have perfectly mastered the secrets of narration. The issues of the Vremya information program made you the face and voice of the country. Without your participation, it’s hard to imagine broadcasting parades from Red Square, popular TV shows, concerts and festivals ...

Son - Kirill Shatilov (born 1967), graduated from the Romano-Germanic branch of Moscow State University , knows several languages, works in foreign firms.
