Biography
Kuzma Petrovich Trubnikov was born on October 27, 1888 in the village of Gatishche, Livensky district of the Oryol province, now the Volovsky district of the Lipetsk region .
In the Russian army since 1909 . He served in the Life Guards Semyonovsky Regiment . During the First World War, a platoon non-commissioned officer , senior non-commissioned officer of the 15th company, then a junior company officer, the head of the foot reconnaissance team, lieutenant . In the Red Army since 1918 . During the Civil War, he commanded a platoon, then a company, a battalion, a regiment, a rifle brigade. In 1927 he graduated from KUVNAS at the M.V. Frunze Military Academy . He commanded a regiment, 25th (Chapaevsky) division. In June 1938 he was arrested and until February 1940 he was in the NKVD prison in Kharkov, on Cold Mountain. A month after the start of World War II , KP Trubnikov was appointed commander of the 258th Infantry Division of the 50th Army of the Western Front , which took part in defensive battles near Orel , Bryansk and Tula . Since November 1941, he commanded the 217th Infantry Division of the same army. For the skillful management of parts of the division during the defense of Tula, he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner.
From June 1942, he was deputy commander of the 16th Army , and from October, deputy commander of the Don Front . He was directly involved in the organization and management of troops in the Battle of Stalingrad . Since February 1943, deputy commander of the Central Front . In April to September - commander of the 10th Guards Army , which participated in the liberation of the city of Yelny .
In September 1944 he was appointed deputy commander of the 1st Belorussian Front , and soon deputy commander of the 2nd Belorussian Front .
At the Victory Parade of 1945, Colonel General Trubnikov led the combined regiment of the 2nd Belorussian Front.
After the war - deputy and assistant commander in chief, and. about. Commander-in-Chief of the Northern Group of Forces . Since 1951 - retired.
He died on January 16, 1974 in Moscow.
