Biography

Sergey Shuminsky was born on April 5, 1911 in the village of Karashino, Korsunsky district, Kiev region . He began his career in 1925 as a worker on the repair of the southwestern railway of the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region . Two years later, he entered the construction college, and, as it turned out, all his life he connected his fate with the construction industry, subsequently working in his specialty at various construction sites of the country. S. L. Shuminsky supervised the construction of housing and civil and industrial facilities in Krivoy Rog and Enakievo . For his dedicated work in the construction of the city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Shuminsky was awarded the badge of honor of the builder of this city.

In 1952, Shuminsky graduated from the Industrial Academy in Moscow and was sent to Lipetsk . Here he is appointed manager of the Lipetskstroy trust. At the time of the formation of the Lipetsk region in 1954, it was the only construction and installation organization in the city, which accounted for almost the entire volume of industrial and housing construction in Lipetsk .

From 1961 to 1964, Shuminsky headed the construction department of the Lipetsk Sovnarkhoz, was the head of the construction complex of the sinter plant NLMK . After the abolition of Sovnarkhozov returned to the Lipetskstroy trust, where he worked until his retirement in 1971 .

Under the leadership of S. L. Shuminsky, the Lipetskstroy trust has become a real school of excellence in organizing the construction of the largest industrial complexes. From here came a lot of experienced business executives and engineering workers. With the direct participation of Shuminsky, a number of construction trusts were created in the regional center - Zhilstroy, Spetsstroy, Zhelezobeton and Lipetskstroytrans. It was they, and, first of all, the parent company, which was headed by Shuminsky, that ensured the high pace of construction of Lipetsk .

According to reviews and memoirs of people who knew him well, no matter where Shuminsky worked, he was distinguished by great ability to work, integrity, exactingness, determination and responsibility for the task entrusted. The merits of Sergei Lukyanovich were awarded the Order of Lenin , three orders of the Red Banner of Labor and many medals. He was awarded the title " Honored Builder of the RSFSR ."

For his great personal contribution to the development of the construction industry of the city in December 1993, Shuminsky was elected Honorary Citizen of the city of Lipetsk .

Sergei Lukyanovich Shuminsky passed away in 1998 .
