Biography
Jolie Gabor, nee Yanchi Tilleman ( Hungarian. Tilleman Jancsi ), was born in Budapest in 1894 in a Jewish family, although she herself called her birth date 1900. Her parents - Jona Hersh Tilleman and Jave-Feige Reinhartz - came from Drohobych and Bolekhov ( Galicia ), and were engaged in jewelry. From various evidence it is known that many of her relatives died in the Holocaust .
Jolie was married three times:
- Wilmosh Gabor (1914-1939), Hungarian officer, father of her three daughters.
- Peter Howard Christman (1947-1948).
- Count Edmund "Odon" de Gigeti (1957-1989).
Jolie died on April 1, 1997, at the age of 102, two months before the death of Magda 's eldest daughter and two years after the death of Eva 's youngest daughter.
