Meadows, Jane

Jane Meadows Cotter was born in China into a family of American episcopal missionaries. In the early 1930s, her parents returned to their homeland in Connecticut , USA . She early showed interest in the scene and already in 1941 she made her debut on Broadway . Over time, Hollywood producers noticed her and she signed a contract with MGM . In 1946, the first film with her participation, “Underwater Current,” in which she starred with Katherine Hepburn, was released .

In addition to the movie, Jane has starred on television in television series such as Fantasy Island , Love Boat , She wrote the Murder , and many others.

In 1954, Jane married actor Steve Allen, with whom she was together until his death in 2000. Jane had a sister, Audrey Meadows , also an actress who died in 1996. Stopping acting, Jane Meadows lived in Encino , California .

The actress died on April 26, 2015 ^[3] .
