The ship was built according to project 887 (Smolny), equipped with modern radio and navigation equipment, and has military weapons . For training, cushioning classes are provided, as well as classrooms, an astronomical deck, six-oiled yalas, and a compartment for fighting ship survivability. In total, more than 16 thousand cadets underwent training on this ship.

Service
Since July 3, 2015, the ship made a long sea voyage for the practice of cadets of naval educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense of Russia , calling at the port of Luanda ( Angola ) and the coast of Spain (port of Las Palmas ) [1] .
From July 1 to October 3, 2016 - a long voyage , during which I visited with a business call at the port of La Valletta, I visited Sevastopol several times, having traveled a total of about 7 thousand nautical miles. [2]
