Prosector (from lat. Prōsecta, ōrum [proseco] - sacrificial parts of an animal, entrails) - an assistant professor of anatomy , making drugs.
Often this term is applied to the specialty “ pathologist ”, since the “prozectorial” part of the work (that is, the section ) is only a separate element in establishing the “intravital” and “posthumous” diagnoses (in addition to working with histological micropreparations , etc.).
In some countries, the specialty “prosector” and the clinical pathomorphologist, pathologist are distinguished separately (in Russia they are part of the profession of pathologist).
