Silesian wars - three military conflicts between Prussia with Frederick the Great at the head and Austria , during which, between 1740 - 1763, the province of Silesia with the county of Glatz moved to Prussia.

Battle of Hohenfriedberg during the Second Silesian War
The first two wars - the First Silesian War (1740-1742) and the Second Silesian War (1744-1745) cover the participation of Prussia in the war for the Austrian inheritance (1740-1748). The Third Silesian War is better known as the Seven Years War (1756-1763).
Great Britain , France , Russia and other, smaller, European states also indirectly took part in the Silesian wars, supporting either side, or the other, depending on the situation. In general, Great Britain was on the side of Austria, and France on the side of Prussia.
