Thomas Ongenibel Remengesau ( Thomas Remenesau, Sr .; Thomas Ongelibel Remengesau, Thomas Remengesau, Sr. , November 28, 1929 - August 3, 2019 [1] ) - a Palauan politician who served as President of Palau in 1985 as Minister of Justice until Vice-President returned to the country -President. In 1985 - 1988 he was vice president of the country, was sworn in as president of the country after the death of President Lazarus Salia in 1988 (powers until 1989 ).
