About the album

It should be noted that there is an error in the annotation. The songs that (as noted) were recorded at the 1981 concert were performed later; in addition, some of them heard back vocals and an acoustic guitar of Margulis, who at that time did not play in the group.

We decided to re-record with Zhenya and Petya those songs that were once made without them. Added recordings from Leningrad concerts in 1981. Plus something recorded on tape in 1988 in the USA, and a few unreleased songs.

- Andrey Makarevich

And this is the fiery greetings from those times when we were not allowed to perform in Moscow, but in Leningrad we gave ten concerts in a row at ten thousandth venues, and there were no empty seats! So the tradition, when Muscovites go to concerts in St. Petersburg, began not with Bob Dylan , but with us many-sinners. In those Sports Palaces there was a very different audience - from our colleagues in the workshop (and not all of them rejoiced at the success of the "Machine") to individual future Presidents of Russia . At that time, the apparatus we had was quite decent by today's standards, and by those standards it was generally fantastic, so it was not a sin to publish those concert recordings! We did so. This CD includes songs from 1981 Leningrad concerts (immediately after saying goodbye to the Little Prince program), plus the recordings made during our first trip to the USA in 1988, plus several unreleased songs of the 80s, such as the Law of the Sea .

- Alexander Kutikov [1]

The tracks “Turn”, “People in Boats”, “For Those in the Sea”, “Blue Bird”, “I Will Come Back Yet” and “Horse Racing” were recorded on “Petrostudio” in 1993 especially for the collection; “Bonfire” , “Song about a Soldier” taken from a concert in Leningrad in 1981; "Weathervane", "Barrier" and "Devastation" recorded in the USA in 1988; “You or Me”, “Our Home”, “Puppets” taken from the disc “ Ten Years Later ”; “Music in the Snow” - from the collection “ Goodnight ”; "Time" - from the album " Rivers and Bridges "; “The Maritime Law” and versions of the songs “Talking on the Train”, “Cat”, “She Walks Through Her Life, Laughing” were not previously published, unofficially appeared on the magnetic albums “ Aliens Among Strangers ”, “Rivers and Bridges” and “English Block of Songs” (1986).

In 1993, Sintez Records and Ritonis released a collection on two phonograph records, where there was one more song (“Night”) than on the later CD.
