The national team of Greece in ice hockey is the national team representing Greece at the competitions in ice hockey. He is a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation .

History
Hockey in Greece appeared in 1984. The first official championship of Greece was held in 1989, 5 teams took part in it. In 1990, the Greek junior team appeared, which went to the world championship in group C (the tournament was held in Yugoslavia). A year later, she performed at the World Cup in Italy, a year later, the Greek team itself appeared. The Greeks took part in the World Cup Group C tournament. The tournament was held in South Africa, and the Greek team conducted training for two weeks and was supported by the Greek diaspora in South Africa. The team took 3rd place in the tournament, receiving bronze awards, and in the overall standings took 21st place.
However, in 1993, due to the economic crisis in the country, it was impossible to keep hockey players, and the team was dissolved. In 2003, the last ice rink in Greece was closed, and the players were forced to leave for the Czech Republic for training. The team was threatened with expulsion from the IIHF and disbandment, but a letter from Dimitris Kalivas, captain of the Greek national team, helped to keep the national team. In 2008, the Greeks were allowed to speak at the World Championships in Division III. The Greek team defeated the Armenians with a score of 8: 5, losing them in the course of the meeting with a score of 0: 5, the star of the Armenian hockey player Tsakhkadzor and the best player of Armenia of the 20th century Karagozyan Ashot, and the Bosnians with a score of 10: 1. In 2010, the Greeks won silver medals of the III division of the World Cup, which is considered their best achievement. In 2012, the “Hellenes” took the penultimate place , which means that they must take part in the qualification tournament .
