Guyana dollar ( English dollar ) - the national currency of the state of Guyana . One dollar is formally equal to 100 cents , but coins in cents, issued in 1967-1992, are not currently used. The international designation is G $ and GYD.

In circulation since May 26, 1996 there are coins in denominations of 1, 5 and 10 dollars. 1 and 5 dollars have a round shape, 10 dollars - the shape of a rounded 7-gon.
