In 1911, a meat slaughterhouse of the Barselman Brothers joint-stock company began to operate in Rtishchevo. The company was engaged in the purchase and export abroad of chicken eggs , beaten poultry, pork , game and other perishable goods. At the enterprise there was: a refrigerated warehouse for 200 cars equipped with two ammonia system compressors; slaughterhouses with special equipment for the mass slaughter of pigs , salads, sausages, a cellar intended for pork sticks exported to England under the name of green bacon “Bacon” and other premises; three housing feeders for feeding chickens, with a capacity of 36,000 pairs, feeders for live pigs of 500 pieces each, a building for pinching a beaten bird and sorting it. The slaughterhouse had its own power station, equipped with engines from British firms.
In the 1930s, the company was reorganized into an export bacon factory of national importance. The superstructure of the skewer-hair workshop was made, the sausage workshop was expanded, and the scrap workshop was built. In July 1941, due to a lack of qualified personnel, the meat factory was on the verge of closure. It was decided to organize a school on its basis. The first years the school trained builders and butchers . FZU meat processing plant (since the mid-1960s, GPTU-28) ceased to exist in the late 1980s.
In the 1950s, the meat processing plant accounted for about 84% of the total gross industrial output of the city. [one]
In 1974, the construction of a feather mill was launched at the meat processing plant , which was commissioned in early January 1978 . The design capacity of the factory was designed to produce 4.5 tons of products per shift. She was one of seven factories of this type, built almost simultaneously in the USSR . The construction of this enterprise and the installation of equipment was attended by the builders of Saratov , Penza , Kursk , as well as German experts, since the technological lines for processing feather and down, sewing products came to Rtishchevo from the GDR . The first masters, technologists and machine operators went through practice in the city of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky . The main products of the factory were feather-duvets and pillows .
In the early 1990s, the meat processing plant was transformed into the open joint-stock company "Meat processing plant" Rtishchevsky "." Its capacity allowed to process more than 30 tons of cattle per day. During the year, with a stable supply of raw materials, it produced more than 7,000 tons of meat and offal, 3,000 tons of sausages, about 200 kg of cooked feed for animals and poultry, and up to 300 tons of fat. Semi-finished products, boiled, semi-smoked and smoked sausages were produced at the meat processing plant, a new production line for the production of canned meat was launched, and a site for the production of smoked delicacies was equipped. [2]
In August 1998, the meat factory and feather mill were closed.
In 2000, the feather factory was acquired by the Moscow Trade House Dargez , Russia's largest producer of bedding and home textiles . Production was launched in June 2001 . Products manufactured by the factory are sold in Voronezh , Saratov , Rostov-on-Don , Khabarovsk and other Russian cities.
