Active bright blue K

The active bright blue K is a monochlorotriazine active dye that gives the cellulose a bright blue color with a reddish tinge. Like other triazine active dyes , it is fixed in the process of interaction with the dye of the functional groups of the fiber (or other colored material) to form a covalent bond.

The active bright blue K does not differ in color characteristics from the Active bright blue CH , dichlorotriazine dye of almost the same composition. Dichloro-monochlorotriazine dyes are distinguished by milder conditions that are more beautiful, greater affinity for the substrate, and a lower leveling ability.

Monochlorotriazine active dyes chemically interact with the functional groups of the fiber (or other dyed material), fixing on the substrate due to the formation of a covalent bond . At 70–90 ° C in the presence of an alkaline agent, in the hydroxy or amino group of the substance to be painted, the hydrogen atom is replaced by the dye residue, that is, instead of connecting the triazine fragment of the dye with chlorine, a bond is formed with nitrogen or oxygen of the corresponding groups of the substrate being painted.

Getting

Active bright blue K is obtained by the interaction of bromoic acid and 2,4-diaminobenzenesulfonic acid , followed by acylation of the resulting product with cyanuric chloride . The resulting active bright blue CX is treated with methanilic acid at 40 ° C with the gradual addition of soda solution to maintain the pH.
