Laugardalsvollur [1] ( isl. Laugardalsvöllur ) is Iceland's national stadium in Reykjavik .

It was built in 1958 , at first it had one side tribune with wooden benches. During the modernization of 1997, another tribune was completed, after which the stadium began to accommodate 15,000 spectators (9,800 seats). Stands can be increased by two temporary structures for 1500 seats each.

The highest attendance was recorded in 2004 during a friendly match between Iceland and Italy (20,204 people). Iceland won a sensational victory 2: 0.

In 2006, a visor was made above the central podium.
