Content
History
The lane got its name in 1882 by the nearby Zoological Garden .
Until 1960, the Exchange Bridge was located in the alignment of the Zoological Alley. In 1957–1960 , during the reconstruction of the Birzhevoy Bridge, it was displaced 70 meters downstream from the axis of the Zoological Lane, after which the shallow water adjacent to the bridge was filled up, and new entrances to the bridge and the bridge area were formed on May 17, 2006 was named after academician D. S. Likhachev .
