Paolo started playing the piano and composing music very early when he was a young man who was romantic and “dreamy” (as he himself puts it). Probably the pseudonym P.Lion was chosen by Paolo due to the fact that: P is the first letter of his name, and the lion is the family symbol and his zodiac sign. The first hit, “Happy Children”, was sold in million copies and was in the top charts in Europe during 1984 and 1985, and most of all in France, along with the hit “Dream”. It is interesting that only on these two songs there are rare clips that were shot in Paris in 1984, but even the author himself does not have them. The composition “Happy Children” sounded as the anthem-screensaver of the European Football Championship 1984. Davide Zambelli was the producer of the album “Happy Children”, Scotch, a popular group in Italy, also participated in the work on it. After the release of his first Springtime album, Paolo signed to Discomagic, a major Milanese studio, and produced such singles as Believe Me and Under the Moon.

Rebirth

In 1995, Paolo tried to revive his former glory and released an album titled “A Step In the Right Way” under the Allione label, but did not receive such success as the first disc.

Present

Paolo often performs with Gazebo , his only friend since the distant Italo disco , as well as Den Harrow, Scotch, Righeira. Sometimes he writes compositions for them and makes arrangements. At the same time, Paolo prefers not to work with DJs. Although he collaborates with some contemporary artists, for example with Betty Villani and Tony Sheridan.

In 2005, he founded, along with Davide Sapienza and Tullio Lanfranchi, the record company Faier Entertainment.

In 1990, Paolo divorced his wife after 14 years of marriage and married again to Loredana, now his family has two sons: Massimiliano (son of Loredana) and Edoardo, their common child.
