Biography
The youngest in a family of six musically gifted children, Dana was born in New Jersey and raised in Florida , and at the age of 19 she founded the Dana Fuchs Band with the guitarist John Diamond and went to New York . Her popularity grew, and soon they began to invite her to participate in joint concerts with performers such as Marianne Faithfull and Etta James . Thanks to these performances, the producers of the production of Love, Janis drew attention to Dana, after which Fuchs got the role of Janice Joplin in it. Joplin is also the prototype of the singer Sadie, whose role Fuchs performs in the musical of Julia Taymor " Through the Universe ."
