On January 30, 2002, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation , in order to implement a unified state policy in the field of heraldry , streamline the official symbols of federal executive bodies, preserve and develop historical traditions in the field of heraldry, the flag of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation was established. This decree came into force on the day of signing.
The flag of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation is a rectangular double-sided cloth. The design of the front and back side of the cloth is the same and represents a four-pointed cross of cornflower (light blue) color with flared ends and with corners (between the ends of the cross) white.
In the center of the cloth is a military heraldic emblem badge of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.
The ratio of the width of the flag to its length - two to three.
Cornflower blue (light blue) color corresponds to PANTONE 072 CU [2] .
Emblem
On November 5, 1998, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, in order to preserve and develop the historical traditions of Russian military heraldry, the emblem of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation was established. [3]
The military heraldic badge-emblem of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation is a depiction of a golden double-headed eagle with wings lowered. The eagle covers with its paws a shield painted in the colors of the State Flag of the Russian Federation . Behind the shield vertically located silver sword point down.
Military heraldic badge-emblem of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation can also be reproduced in a single-color image.
