He worked in Rome under the leadership of Bramante and Peruzzi . His creation is the Palazzo Farnese in Rome (construction started in 1513, completed by Michelangelo). Sangallo took the baton of the chief architect of St. Peter's Basilica in 1539 and expanded the initial plan for Bramante, but his successor Michelangelo had to finish the construction to its logical conclusion.
Since 1503 he worked in the workshop of Bramante in Rome. He built numerous fortifications (in Parma, since 1525, etc.). After becoming the death of Raphael (1520), the chief architect of the Cathedral of St. Petra in Rome, proposed a plan in the form of a Latin cross (which was replaced by Michelangelo's equal). The mature buildings of Antonio da Sangallo the Younger include: the Palazzo Farnese (1513–34, construction completed by Michelangelo and Giacomo della Porta ), the bank of Santo Spirito (1523-24), the Palazzo Sacchetti (1543), all in Rome, are characteristic of the rejection of the floor the articulation of the facades and the massive volume integrity anticipating the early Baroque.
