The following electoral cardinals participated in the Papal Conclave of 1958 . They are given by geographic region (not the language groups commonly used in the Ecumenical Church), and in alphabetical order (unofficial precedence order, which is not appropriate for the Conclave procedure).

Only two of the fifty-three electors obstructed by their communist governments did not participate in the Conclave : Cardinal Jozsef Mindsenty (limited to the US Embassy in Budapest ) and Cardinal Aloysius Stepinac (due to house arrest).
