Biography

He was born on January 27, 1908 in a village of Dubosishche (now Glinkovsky district of Smolensk region ) in a peasant family. In 1926, he moved to Saratov , where he got a job as a locksmith-boiler-maker of the Saratov locomotive depot . At the same time he studied at a vocational school.

From 1928 to 1934 V.P. Egorov worked at the Rtishchevo railway station, first as a depot locksmith, then as an assistant to the driver , assistant to the depot chief, deputy head of the traction station, locomotive engineer , standardizer, head of the labor department, deputy head of the draft section. In September 1934 he was transferred to the Penza station as deputy head of the depot.

From 1934 to 1937, Vyacheslav Petrovich studied at the Military Transport Academy , after which he worked as a traffic safety auditor, first on the V.V. Kuybyshev railway , then on the Belarusian Railway .

In December 1937, V.P. Egorov was appointed to the post of head of the North-Donetsk Railway . In December 1939, he was introduced to the College of the People’s Commissariat of Railways and was appointed head of the Central Cargo Directorate, then the Locomotive Department. In September 1940, he was appointed to the post of head of the Southern Directorate of Roads.

In May 1941, Vyacheslav Petrovich was appointed to the post of Deputy People's Commissar of Railways and the Chief Auditor of the NKPS for traffic safety. In June of that year, he became Commissioner of the NKPS on the Western Front . In August 1941, during the bombing near Vyazma, Yegorov was heavily shell-shocked . In January 1942, he was a Member of the Military Council of the South-Western Front and at the same time - Commissioner of the NKPS on the South-Western Front. Since April of the same year, he was appointed to the post of head of the Lenin Railway, while retaining the rank of Deputy Commissar of Railways.

From January to December 1944 V.P. Egorov worked as the head of the Western Railway , then until October 1945 - the head of the Tomsk Railway . In October 1945, Vyacheslav Petrovich was transferred to Sverdlovsk , where he organized and headed the Ural-Siberian railway district, which included the Tomsk, Omsk , Karaganda , South Ural , Perm and Sverdlovsk railways . In 1951, V. P. Egorov was appointed to the post of Permanent Commissioner of the Ministry of Railways of the Urals and Siberia ; at the same time he was introduced into the composition of the College of the IPU.

From May 1956 to September 1972, Vyacheslav Petrovich Egorov worked as the head of the Sverdlovsk Railway. He was a member of the Sverdlovsk Regional Committee of the CPSU , a deputy of the Regional Council of People's Deputies, was a delegate to the XVIII , XXI and XXII congresses of the CPSU .

He died on October 16, 1986 in Sverdlovsk . He was buried at the Shirokorechensky cemetery [1] .
